About this piece

Our thin mahogany shelf keeps a low profile on the wall: 6 to 36 inches long, 3 to 8 inches deep, and 7/8 of an inch thick on a hidden bracket.

Mahogany runs deep brown with a fine, even grain, and it holds framed photos, plants, and a row of books without any visible support.

The same shelf is available in oak, maple, walnut stain, or poplar for painting. Hang one over a desk or dresser, or several in a row down a hallway.

Is there a thicker mahogany shelf?

Yes. Our thick mahogany line is the same solid wood at 1 1/2 inches with roughly double the visual weight and higher capacity.

What does thin mean here?

Thin means 7/8 inch thick, in lengths to 36 inches and depths to 8. It is our narrow floating shelf line, sized for display walls.

What kind of items is this shelf best suited to display?

This shelf is perfect for displaying small décor pieces, picture frames, plants, trinkets, or other lighter display items because of its thin profile and narrower depth. It is less suitable for heavy books or large objects.

Is this shelf made in the USA?

Yes. The thin mahogany line is milled and finished in our Brooklyn woodshop and ships from it.

What style rooms does it fit?

The slim mahogany line reads warm and minimal, at home in modern, Scandinavian, and mid-century rooms alike.
