Corner Shelves

8 products

Solid wood corner shelves that float on hidden brackets, built in Brooklyn from oak and mahogany. Each hanging corner shelf mounts into both walls of the corner, in 12 to 16 inch sizes.

The rounded radial edge is the classic; the straight edge suits rooms with square trim. The sculpted edge comes in three hand-shaped profiles, and the corner shelf with a visible steel bracket shows its support on purpose. For electronics in a corner, the cord hole version swallows the wires.

Hidden brackets in both walls. Each corner shelf anchors into the two walls that meet at the corner, so the board is supported from two directions and sits dead steady. Once it slides on, the hardware is fully enclosed: no visible brackets, no visible screws, just wood wrapping the corner. Install is two brackets and a level, and most people are done inside twenty minutes.

Each shelf runs 12, 14, or 16 inches along each wall, measured from the corner out. The 12 inch suits a plant or a small speaker; the 16 inch takes a short row of books. All are available in our thick profile, and the front edge comes straight, rounded, or sculpted in three profiles.

Solid oak and mahogany, cut and finished in our Brooklyn shop. Oak keeps the corner light with a visible grain; mahogany is the dark wood corner shelf, deep enough to read almost black in low light. Both are solid boards, not veneer, which is what lets a corner this small carry real weight.

The corner is usually the one spot no furniture reaches, so the shelf turns it into display or storage: a trailing plant, a speaker angled into the room, a lamp, a short stack of books, spices in a kitchen corner. In a living room, office, or bedroom, a column of two or three corner shelves climbing the wall uses the full height of the corner without taking an inch of floor.

Yes, and the corner actually helps: with brackets anchored into both walls, the load spreads across two mounting points instead of one. Keep the heavier stacks toward the corner where the support is deepest, and check each product page for its listed rating. For display weight, plants, frames, and speakers, any size in the collection is comfortable.
