Recommended weight limit: ~150 lbs per stud, depending on stud type. Drywall anchors can hold ~30-60 lbs per bracket.

Our oak shelves usually have a slight natural reddish tint. Every shelf will vary slightly in color, striation, and grain texture.
Orders ship free within the United States (exception below*). Orders require 1-14 days of processing time, as most orders are built to order. Orders usually arrive 3-5 days when shipped. If we have an order in stock, we will ship the item quicker. *Shipping calculated at checkout for metal products.
International Orders
International orders have a standard charge. Most orders will arrive between 7-14 business days after 1-2 weeks of processing time. Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. NookWoodworking is not responsible for delays due to customs.

About this piece
Steel where you can see it. This shelf hangs on black metal J brackets from Cascade Iron Co, named for their shape: they keep most of the floating look while adding strength over a hidden bracket alone.
The board is solid mahogany, 12 to 84 inches long, in two depths: 5 1/2 or 11 1/4 inches. The deep version takes kitchen storage; the narrow one suits books and display.
The brackets come powder coated in matte black. Wood options are mahogany or oak, walnut stain, or poplar for painting.
Dark wood and black steel set the tone in a loft or a kitchen with black fixtures.
We cut LED channels on request. Use the form on this page to set the size and placement, then add your own strip light.
