About this piece
Records are the rare thing you store facing out. A groove milled into this shelf leans an album against the wall, cover forward, so the sleeve becomes the art and the record stays within reach of the turntable.
The shelf is 14 inches long, sized to hold a standard 12 inch record sleeve with a little air on either side. One works over a turntable. A row of three or four, spaced up a wall, rotates with whatever is playing that month.
The mahogany is solid wood all the way through, with a deep brown tone that sits well behind album art. Hidden brackets hold the floating shelf flush to the wall. Also cut in oak, maple, walnut stain, or poplar.
It is the easiest way to make a record collection part of the room.
