Orders ship free within the United States (exception below*). Orders require 1-14 days of processing time, as most orders are built to order. Orders usually arrive 3-5 days when shipped. International Orders

About this piece

The Classic is the rectangular one: a straight backboard in solid maple or oak with a row of turned shaker pegs, built in our Brooklyn woodshop.

Choose 2, 3, 4, or 6 pegs to fit the wall, from a strip beside the door to a run along a mudroom. Keyhole slots milled into the backboard mount it flush, with no hardware showing.

The Arch is the same rack with a curved top, when the hallway wants a softer line.

How is the Classic Coat Rack mounted to the wall?

The Classic Coat Rack uses a hidden keyhole slot mounting system for a secure, clean installation. All necessary hardware and instructions are included.

How is the Classic different from the Arch?

The Classic keeps a clean rectangular backboard, the plainer of the two silhouettes; the Arch curves its top edge. Same wood species, same shaker pegs, same sizes.

How much weight can the Classic Coat Rack hold?

Each shaker peg on the Classic Coat Rack is solid hardwood and securely glued into the backboard, built to handle the daily weight of coats, bags, umbrellas, and accessories. When properly mounted into wall studs, the rack is designed for generations of heavy use.

What finish is on the Classic Coat Rack?

The Classic Coat Rack is finished with a hand-applied oil-based finish that enhances the natural grain of the wood while protecting the surface. No paint or stains; just real beautiful hardwood.

Can the Classic Coat Rack be used in a bathroom or mudroom?

Yes, the solid hardwood construction and oil-based finish make the Classic Coat Rack well suited for high-traffic areas like mudrooms, entryways, and hallways. It works equally well for coats, towels, bags, and accessories.
