About this piece

The rhombus is the diamond of our mini shapes, here in dark mahogany: a 3, 4, or 5 inch base in two thicknesses, floating on a single hidden anchor.

It holds one small thing: an air plant, a ring dish, a matchbook.

Also in oak, or poplar for painting.

Is the mini shelf made of solid wood?

Yes, all of our wood shelves are made of solid hardwood, like oak, mahogany, maple, or other wood species. We do not make any shelves out of veneer or composite materials.

Can I use this mini shelf in my living room?

Yes, these mini shelves are great for small displays, trinkets, and accent décor in living rooms, especially in narrow areas on the wall.

What is the difference between the 7/8″ and 1 1/2″ thickness options?

While 7/8″ thick shelves showcases a slimmer, more minimalist appearance, the thicker 1 1/2″ option is a bit more structural and heavy duty.

Will this small shelf show screw heads or mount hardware on the face?

No, once the shelf is mounted, the shelf hardware is entirely hidden. Only the floating wood shelf is visible with no visible hardware or screws showing.

Can I mix this shelf with other shapes from the collection (square, octagon, triangle, rhombus, trapezoid) for a gallery wall effect?
