Our oak shelves usually have a slight natural reddish tint. Every shelf will vary slightly in color, striation, and grain texture.
Orders ship free within the United States (exception below*). Orders require 1-14 days of processing time, as most orders are built to order. Orders usually arrive 3-5 days when shipped. If we have an order in stock, we will ship the item quicker. *Shipping calculated at checkout for metal products.
International Orders
International orders have a standard charge. Most orders will arrive between 7-14 business days after 1-2 weeks of processing time. Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. NookWoodworking is not responsible for delays due to customs.

About this piece
A shelf made for showing plates: a groove routed into the top holds the rim, so platters and dishes stand upright and stay put. It does the job of a traditional plate rail on a single floating board.
In mahogany, the dark board sets off white ceramics and patterned china, a natural fit for the wall above a sideboard. Lengths run 12 to 84 inches, so one shelf can carry a full row of plates across a dining room wall.
The board is solid wood on hidden brackets, with the groove cut in our Brooklyn shop. Also available in oak, walnut stain, or poplar for painting.
It holds framed art and cookbooks the same way it holds plates: leaned back, facing the room.
