Three from our shop. The magnetic square shelf holds to any metal surface with magnets set into the back, so it goes up in a second and moves wherever it is wanted. The small display shelves come as a square, octagon, triangle, or trapezoid in oak or mahogany, the right size for one plant or one frame. And the propagation station shelf puts a glass tube in a solid wood block for rooting cuttings on the wall. All three are built in Brooklyn and ship free in the US.

The fifth anniversary is the wood anniversary, and a shelf built to a length you choose is a gift that stays on the wall. The thick oak floating shelf is our best seller, an inch and a half of solid oak on hidden brackets, cut to any length from 12 to 84 inches. For a smaller piece, the vinyl record shelf holds one album cover-out, and the leather cushion lap desk pairs solid wood with full grain leather. If you do not know the wall, a gift card lets them pick the wood, the depth, and the length.

The propagation station shelves are built for exactly that: a glass test tube set into a solid oak or mahogany block that mounts on the wall, so cuttings root in the light instead of on the windowsill. They come in square, triangle, octagon, trapezoid, and rhombus shapes and start under $50. For a plant that is already potted, a small display shelf or a thin shelf with rounded corners cut to length gives it a spot on the wall. All built in Brooklyn.

Everything in this collection is built in our woodshop in Brooklyn, but the one that says New York is the NYC Realtime Subway Clock. It shows live arrival countdowns for the MTA lines and stations you choose, in a solid oak or mahogany frame, and it was the most ordered gift in our shop last December. For someone who has moved away, it is the one that gets talked about. For someone still here, a shelf cut to the wall of a New York apartment is the practical choice.

The small shelves, the magnetic shelf, the propagation shelves, the vinyl record shelf, the lap desk, and the clock are ready to ship and usually leave the shop within a few days. Shelves cut to length, including the thick oak shelf and the picture ledge, are built to order in 1 to 2 weeks, then ship in 2 to 5 days; for Christmas, order those by December 4. A gift card arrives by email the same day and does not expire. Free shipping in US on everything here.
