About this piece

A working piece of the subway for your wall: this clock pulls live MTA data and shows a real time countdown to arrivals for the stations and lines you choose. Pick one line or several when you order, and the display keeps up with service alerts.

The housing is a solid wood frame we build in Brooklyn, in mahogany or oak, made to stand on a table or mount to the wall.

Hang it by the door and leave when your train is eight minutes out, or send it to a New Yorker who moved away.

What does the subway clock show?

Live MTA arrival times for the station and lines you choose, displayed like the countdown clocks on the platform.

How does it get the arrival times?

Over your home WiFi, synced with the MTA's real-time feed. It needs WiFi and a power outlet, nothing else.

Does it sit on a table or mount to the wall?

Either. Choose tabletop with the cord out the back, or wall mount with the cord out the bottom. The case is 21 inches long with a cord just under 8 feet.

What is the case made of?

Solid oak or mahogany, built in Brooklyn around the LED display.

Is it a good gift for a New Yorker?

Yes. It suits anyone who times their morning around a train, and former New Yorkers who miss doing so.
