Our best-selling Z Bracket is available in several sizes to fit all of your open shelving projects. The standard z shaped shelf bracket is a classic design to support wood shelves.

What is a Z bracket?

A bracket bent in a Z profile: one leg mounts to the wall, the board rests in the middle, and the front leg wraps up over the shelf edge to hold it in place.

How much weight can a Z bracket hold?

About 75 pounds per bracket mounted into a stud with the included hardware.

Why choose a Z bracket over an L bracket?

The front lip holds the board without screws through the shelf, and the wrapped profile reads more deliberate on open shelving. L brackets suit deeper boards.

Where is it made?

In the USA. Our steel brackets are cut and powder coated in Oregon through our partnership with Cascade Iron Co.
