About this piece

One shelf for the media wall: thick mahogany with rounded corners and a grommet hole at the back, so a cable box or console sits up off the furniture and its cords disappear behind the board.

Lengths run 12 to 84 inches and depths 4 to 12, on hidden brackets. Also made in oak, walnut stain, or poplar for painting.

Under a wall-mounted TV, a long dark board like this reads as a floating console without the cabinet. The rounded corners keep the front soft, and the hole is the only clue the shelf is working.

A cut LED channel turns this into a lit media shelf. Choose the groove size and spot on this page and bring your own LED strip.

Can the grommet be positioned for my setup?

Yes, sizes and grommet placement are customizable, so the hole can land exactly behind your speaker or console.

What do people put on it?

The usual mix: a speaker or lamp using the grommet, books and decor filling the rest of the run.

Can it light a media wall?

With a cut LED channel it can. Choose the groove size and spot in the listing form, run a strip light through it, and drop the wire through the grommet. The light is not included.

What exactly is a “grommet hole” and how does it help make it a “floating shelf with cable management”?

A grommet hole is a drilled hole in the back of the shelf where cables can be passed through. This allows you to place electronics like chargers, speakers, and cords on the shelf while hiding the wires, creating a clean look. This makes the shelf ideal for use in a bedroom, office, or living room.

What does “rounded corners” mean on this shelf?

This shelf has gently curved front corners instead of sharp 90° edges, giving it a more refined look and making it safer to handle while keeping that strong, floating wood shelf appearance.
